چکیده
Corrigenda The 18S ribosomal RNA gene of a crustacean decapod Oedignathus inermis: a comparison with Artemia salina gene It is stated in this paper that the ratio of transition/transversion between the two above mentioned species is 1.03. The authors wish to point out that this figure should be 1.26. It should be noted that in the description of the PCR-RC analysis of the transformant of the 35F-ras gene shown in Figure 3b accompanying this paper, cleavage was observed after treatment of the PCR product with Sail (lane 3) and not AatU (lane 2) as previously described.

A comparative phylogenetic analysis of Theileria spp. by using two two "18S ribosomal RNA" and "Theileria annulata merozoite surface antigen" gene sequences
More than 185 species, strains and unclassified Theileria parasites are categorized in the Entrez Taxonomy. The accurate diagnosis and proper identification of the causative agents are important for understanding the epidemiology, prevention and appropriate treatment. This study aims to discuss the importance of two genes of Theileria annulata 18S ribosomal RNA (18S rRNA) and Theileria annulata...
متن کاملThe sequence of the 5.8 S ribosomal RNA of the crustacean Artemia salina. With a proposal for a general secondary structure model for 5.8 S ribosomal RNA.
We report the primary structure of 5.8 S rRNA from the crustacean Artemia salina. The preparation shows length heterogeneity at the 5'-terminus, but consists of uninterrupted RNA chains, in contrast to some insect 5.8 S rRNAs, which consist of two chains of unequal length separated in the gene by a short spacer. The sequence was aligned with those of 11 other 5.8 S rRNAs and a general secondary...
متن کاملIdentification of the transcriptional initiation site of ribosomal RNA genes in the crustacean Artemia.
The proximal part of the Intergenic Spacer, as well as most of the External Transcribed Spacer of the ribosomal RNA type I genes from the crustacean Artemia have been sequenced. We have identified in the Intergenic Spacer five repeats of around 600 bp in length and, possibly, two imperfect or truncated repeats, derived from the principal ones. These sequences are separated by 485 bp from the 17...
متن کاملAn Enterovirus-Like RNA Construct for Colon Cancer Suicide Gene Therapy
Background: In gene therapy, the use of RNA molecules as therapeutic agents has shown advantages over plasmid DNA, including higher levels of safety. However, transient nature of RNA has been a major obstacle in application of RNA in gene therapy. Methods: Here, we used the internal ribosomal entry site of encephalomyocarditis virus and the 3’ non-translated region of Poliovirus to design an en...
متن کاملComparison of the growth, survival and nutritional value of Artemia using various agricultural by-products and unicellular algae Dunaliella salina
Because of limitations of production of unicellular green algae (especially in large volumes), this study aimed to culture Artemia using three sources of cheap agricultural by-products that were coupled with small amounts of unicellular algae Dunaliella salina. The results of growth and survival, biomass production, Individual wet weight, wet and ash percent, FCR and SGR and nutritional value o...
